FRIDAY

NOTES: LOTS OF NOTES...

**Our field trip to Dairy Queen is on Wednesday.  Chaperones should be in the classroom by 1:15.  They are Jessica, Kate, Kristen C, Kevin, Maureen (?), Alyssa, Kristen Q, Kris R and Carolyn.  You will need to stop at the office for a badge.
Any parent not chaperoning can meet us at DQ.  If you are taking your child home from DQ, please let me know so they bring their backpack to DQ.
If it rains (prayers to the Blessed Mother that it doesn’t) some of the chaperones will need to go to DQ to pick up the order.  I’ll let you know on Wednesday

** Thursday is Beach Day. Please check the information that went home a couple of weeks ago.  We want all of the kids to stay until dismissal at 11:45 because we are going to practice for Closing Ceremonies.  Dismissal will be from the main school doors.  Just like afternoon dismissal, please stay in your car and follow the teacher directions.
Please let me know if your child is staying for Extended CARES.

**Friday is Closing Ceremonies.  Again, please check the information that was sent home.  The children are not to be dropped off before 10:30 at the door outside of Kindergarten.  Parents enter through the Cavanaugh Hall doors.  Looking at the stage, K2 will be on the left side.

**All books will be sent home by Thursday.  Please do not throughout some of the books.  The letter copybook should be used for review of all sight words.  There are pages in the Reader Writers Notebook that can be worked on over the summer.  The kids can write in their journal to keep up with writing sentences.  First in Math will be available through July.
The kids have learned so much, it would be a shame for them to slip backwards.  10-15 minutes a day in review will help them to be successful in 1st grade!

**The money that we collect on Mission Wednesday is donated to the Missionary Childhood Association.  The purpose is to encourage all children to be aware of the needs of children living in mission diocese throughout the world and support them both spiritually and sacrificially.  Monies raised are directed towards self-help programs involving the building of schools, assistance with health and nutrition programs and medications, school fees, and teaching and learning resources.
Thank you for your generosity.
